Exhumation Interview

1.Can you give us an update on what is going on with the band these days?
Before we move further, I'd like to say thank you so much for having us. Well, now we've been digging so hard on our second opus. We've spread our wings even more, we've let some certain things embrace us in that way. In case, we would love to this second opus would tear down our walls and ourselves.

2.For those that have yet to hear you music, how would you describe your musical sound?
A very horrible, haunting, yet massive evil sound from its big picture!

3.Can you tell us a little bit more about the lyrical topics and subjects the band explores with the music?
Something, someplace, where most people can not ever touch it, so-called death and dark music.

4.What is the meaning and inspiration behind the name 'Exhumation'?
The art of digging some certain things out of the ground, literally. Yes we dig a very very horrible art to our actual being. This name also portraying a home for us, a place where we can even more raise the value higher and deeper in that sense, a solid ground where we can dig out the words, the notes, the rhymes and its aura to make it into pieces music as well.

5.What are some of the best shows that the band has played over the years and also how would you describe your stage performance?
Our very first tour "FOUR HABITATS TOUR" with great bands such HEADKRUSHER, GODDESS OF FATE, NOCTURNAL KUDETA.
Then again, our stage performance is terribly haunting and horrible, very not recommended for some people who are really seeking for fun thing in music show for real.

6.Do you have any touring or show plans for the future?
Sure thing! We plan to do some tour in malaysia and singapore, Jakarta, Bandung this year I'd say. Well, time flies, and time shall speak.

7.Recently Dunkelheit Produktionen re-issued your 2012, album, what are your thoughts on the final product?
In moments of joy, we're excited in that sense now. We're genuinely feel happy when a label which I admire most could spread our stuffs over the world.

8.On the re-issue you did a Blasphemy cover, what was the decision behind doing on of their songs?
Because we truly want to do some magnificent thing to the band which gave their dedication and their devotion to the underground world in all aspects. We want to go the basic, essence of our being in music as well. We want to keep every element of "their ways" keep close and close for ourselves. And plus, No introduction needed - when we talk about Blasphemy, they're a very inspiring and haunting band as well.

9.A few years back you did a split album with Goddess Of Fate and Nocturnal Kudeta, what are your thoughts on the other bands that participated on the split?
They're fantastic bands. They're talented, and mostly they're a very extremely good people to share with.

10.On a worldwide level how has the feedback been to your music by fans of death metal?
It's ultimately beyond our expectation, and also the feedback sort of give us some extra miles further to go on.

11.What is going on with the other musical projects these days that some of the other band members are involved with?
I think they've discovered some deliberately satisfying thing so far.
Bones, the vocalist involved in a band BLEACHED BONES:
J, our live session player involved in a band HEADKRUSHER:

12.When can we expect a new album and also what musical direction do you see the band heading into during the future?
Our core of it still remains, our new album will genuinely more haunting and massive, and it will be a bit different with Hymn To Your God. Well, our musical direction will step forward into the abyss of the unknown - adoration put - and forever be buried under the shore of the underground will. The further we dig, the more unknown we got.

13.What are some bands or musical styles that have influenced your music and also what are you listening to nowadays?
A very diverse stuffs I'd say, One thing I've never totally be satisfied for listen to the album of
Altar of Madness. Then again recently I've listening to these; blast from the past Only Theatre of Pain from Christian Death and some new records from In Solitude, Beastmilk, and tons of great music out there. Also recently I've blown away with the concept, ideas, musics of this band NECRODEITY, they're based from Kolkata India.

14.Do you have any non musical interests?
I love writing, sometimes dancing, sometimes walking somewhere, from a strange and different perspective.

15.Before we wrap up this interview, do you have any final words or thoughts?
We can't thank you enough for your enduring support in our music, thank you for listening, thank you for being there. Prepare yourself for our worldwide distribution HYMN TO YOUR GOD VIA DUNKELHEIT PRODUKTIONEN. We'll see you on the road.
