Blacksheep are a band from Romania that plays death'n'roll and this is a review of their self released 2014 album "The Future Started Yesterday".
A very hard and melodic sound starts off the album along with some traditional metal guitar leads that also use a great amount of melody and you can also h ear all of t he musical instruments that are present on the recording and after awhile death metal growls and screams are added onto the recording.
After awhile the music starts going into more of a death'n'roll direction and some songs also bring in elements of 60's and 70's rock along with a touch of blues in both the riffs and leads and there is also a brief use of melodic vocals on one of the tracks while a couple of songs brings in a brief use of spoken word parts and as the album progresses elements of psychedelia can be heard and all of the songs stick to a mid paced musical direction and there is also a brif use of clean playing.
Blacksheep plays a style of death'n'roll that is mostly mid paced while also mixing in a great amount of melody and classic rock elements to create a style of their own, the production sounds very professional for being a self released recording while the lyrics cover dark, violent and real life themes.
In my opinion Blacksheep are a very great sounding death'n'roll band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Free Fall" "No Day Like Today" "Hope left For Dying" and "Last Song never be Sung". 8 out of 10.
